Describe your style in a few words:
I can't describe my style in a few words from fear of categorizing myself - Its so easy to become trapped into a fashion stereotype and I hate that! I like to try a bit of everything and play around with what I think suits me. You are more likely to find me in a charity shop than you are TopShop, purely because I don't want to wear the same t-shirt and jeans as everyone else! Up until quite recently I refused to wear dresses and skirts... but I've dropped that stigma now and it feels fabulous to go girly one day and boyish the next.
What do you love?
I love people, poetry, hilarity and coffee. Oh... and Documentary! My favourite thing to do is sit in a coffee shop, it's honestly where I feel most inspired! I like watching people! It gives me ideas for things to write and make. As strange as it sounds, sitting silently in my own little world when all about me is hustle and bustle gives me a warm glow of inspiration, I love that. I also love stand up poetry and comedy and good british humor, laughing at my own jokes, laughing at myself laughing at my own jokes and totally rocking out in my car to a song I love when I know other drivers are watching. Ha. That totally cracks me up!
Music of the moment:
I am totally in love with Kate Nash... (And did so before foundations thank you very much.) Purely because she is more poet than singer. I am trying to learn some of her songs on my guitar! I also love Regina Spektor, Spank Rock and Dizzee Rascal. I actually do love everything as cliche as that sounds... except for bands that are mad at their Dads. Ha. I'm a huge fan of acoustic versions of otherwise totally non-acoustic songs. The Fray - Heartless is Gorgeous! I love it!
What do you do?
I am a graduate from Bournemouth university where I studied Television Production and specialised as an Editor, I worked on numerous dramas and documentaries, my most recent piece of work being a documentary presented directed and edited by me called "A Trifle Messy". It is about a fetish called sploshing - and I get sploshed at the end! At the moment though... in the height of this job stealing recession, I am working in a bar to save money to hopefully move to London in the New Year where I can be in the thick of the television industry. My dream is to make documentaries.... OR to produce a cooking programme filthier than Nigella! In the mean time though I am working on a few small creative projects as well as writing a bit of my own poetry!
