Happy Birthday to our Fahion Writer Beth May Hall- Babby at 22 years!

Big Chill Festival! Wellie Love

Sorry for the belated photos from The Big Chill (have now stolen them from lovely Beth, was her birthday this week Happy Birthday Beth!) The boys are loving the wellies at The Big Chill working those legs for three days worth of sun, Sweaty Feet! We love The Big Chill festival is such a unique festival with so many nice little arty features, making it a def relaxing weekend but also making room for Bonanobo and Quintic nights Loved the music Loved the People think this we be a new regular in our festival year. Bad news this weekend Brighton's Beachdown Festival, an extremal young festival was meant to be having it 2 year this bank holiday weekend but unfortunately it has been CANCELED such a shame, this festival was an Little modest festival which could have been enjoyed for many years, apparently they have lot their sponsors but i have been informed that they have cleared out of their offices completely and the unfortunate ones that bought tickets are not getting refunded! Gutted, oh well any one heading to the south still should def check out The Southsea Kite Festival! The mini festival is a magical display of whimsical kites, Whales, Dragons, Marque sized Cats and Dogs, absolutely amazing experience with a lovely little crafts fair so if you are up for getting some nice treats or early Christmas pressies!

Telling tales....Liberty Prints, Plinths and all

Urban Spark had a trip down to the 'telling tales' free exhibition at the V&A. Being fans of all things whimsical we had to have a look see. Bath boats made from wood, cupboards that most definately led to Narnia, and a fox with maggot filled ears....

We were also delighted to see Tord Boontje intricate garland lanterns making appearances all throughout the exhibition, so beautiful!

Finally got to visit the Liberty 'Prints Charming' exhibition. There was much to be desired, particularly the Grayson Perry scarves that were on show. Unfortunately both us Nikkis had to part emty handed, not even a Liberty key ring to show for ourselves - £14 no ta! Squint had some of their furniture on show, it has again inspired me to create my own patchworked floral mirror - on the to do list.

Tube Trauma!!!!!!!!

London Underground Tube Trauma, running on to the train on the way to South Kensington me on my missions jumped on to the tube in my merry way, when I turned around spinning in my delight that I had made it, my shock and horror when I turned around to see Nikki S waddling along as the tube doors slam together, leaning on the glass with my hands up on the glass shouting NOOOOO!!! Little girl looking at me tutting, saying oh dear, made me laugh. Sorry Nikki!!

Ice Cream Dreams again! Yum!

Designer Tadaaki Wakamatsu (Harajuku/Tokyo, Japan) has a sweet tooth. Inspired by many things from his daily life and happenings, the designer molds cake-inspired shapes into fresh original creations for his label.

Absolutely love it!, I want the ice cream ring I want to know what materials they are made of and more about his techniques, me and Nikki were dribbling over the glass for a taste of this juicy treats, we hope we can espier to these delights.

London lust

That time of month again to take our bored boots from the four walls of our office to walk and wonder through the loving streets of Carnaby Street and stare at the beauties of cupcake shop cuteness. Strange and I were all over the place, starting out at the National theatre, Southbank, where we had perfect photo opportunity. Then be ventured to the plinth and loved the guess the plinth game for appeal for Felix man can’t find his website, oh well.
V & A showed off The Royal College of arts graduate show, so we had to have a gander at delights they had to offer, amazing! Here are my must have picks Lisa Hjelm and Murat Kuscu. Love the cat suit love I want one maybe a venture to Thailand will mean some new clothes should be in order.
Love the use of paper hanging like a curtain, looks as if it’s been placed so beautifully on you and reminds me of when a princess would be dressed buy birds as slips on over her head so nicely, pure white love for this one.

In this day and age of instant music downloads, the humble CD is being forgotten....fear not if you are a collector of music who is a firm believer in purchasing music in a physical form. Eclectic Sounds is an online record shop, run by massive music fanatic Pete Strange. He is a serious music collector who dedicates much of his time to music; be it collecting and searching for rare LPS, Cds, Vinyls or attending concerts and festivals. With so many giant music retailers it is refreshing to find Eclectic Sounds, a site that reminds me of the small traditional record shops that are a pleasure to have a rummage and a browse in.
Easy to contact if you request a record/Cd that is not visable on the site...be sure to check out Eclectic Sounds for a musical treat. X

I could get lost in Barcelona everyday x

barcelona, benicassim, festival, city, travel ,urban spark, www.urbanspark.co.uk, culture, music

My recent holidays from Spark took me to beautiful Barcelona where I stayed in a not so beautiful 'Windsor Hostel' (good location mind). Lots of sights to be seen, with the much- talked -about architecuture and Dali and Picasso museums. Unfortunately my lack of euros meant I had to look at most things through railings or from a far. Still, there was a lot to appreciate. After my adventures in the city, having met and partyied with French, Australian, Belgium, Austrian and of course English, I moved on to Benicassim festival. Unfortunately after my time there I dont have too many positives to speak of, (apart from 2manydjs set -ammmmazzzing!) The festival was filled with too many Brits abroad types, band cancellations and a mighty sandstorm! At least now I can fully appreciate damp and dirty English festivals. Love it.

Miss Fashion Whore Blog

If you haven't already spotted this blog find, it's really worth taking a gander at...Miss Fashion Whore has a fun and fresh approach to writing that encourages readers to get involved.

A little about Miss Fashion Whore...

"Miss Fashion Whore is a blog about fashion, shopping and life. I have always had a passion/borderline addiction to shopping. First designer bag= Chloe Paddington. Age 16. Bought on Daddy’s credit card. He still doesn’t know!

Not much has changed since then. After shopping trips I still hide my bounty of purchases in the car until my boyfriend goes out and I can sneak them into the closet! And it is true, I did search ’selling a kidney’ on google when I just HAD to get that nearly sold out pair of Louboutins.

But now I’m a bit older and a bit more sensible. I want to share my new finds, fashion ideas, must haves and wardrobe lusts with anyone else who is truly a fashion whore and can’t get enough of it!"

This is one of the blogs we're definately going to be following daily...x
